Welcome to Bush Country Bush Country Camp
What to bring ...

For the Cabins...

All of Bush Country Camp cabins have single bunks with foam mattresses.  Be sure to bring your sleeping bag or sheets and pillows.  Toasters and coffee pots aren't allowed on the island due to their heavy electricity draw on our generator.  We have ice available on the island to purchase in case you run out..

For Fishing/Hunting...

We recommend for Lake Trout and Northern Pike a medium to heavy action rod and heavy duty spinning or trolling reel, large silver spoons and/ or gang trolls, 10 to 15 lb. test monofilament for spring and 20 to 40 lb. test lead or steel core for the summer.  There are freezers on the island for your 'trophies'.  May and June guests should bring warm clothes as it gets cool on the water in the evenings.  Don't forget your rain gear for the boat trip up the lake.

Guests at Bush Country must purchase their fishing licenses before getting to the camp.  Licenses can be purchased in either Temiscaming or Kipawa.

For Bait...

Live minnows aren't allowed in Quebec therefore, you should get salted minnows or worms at Temiscaming  or Kipawa.  We have frozen minnows and worms available at the camp to purchase if you run out.
