Bush Country Camp

Témiscamingue, Quebec

Bush Country Camp is a fishing and hunting camp situated on an island 34 air miles inside the Kipawa Reserve on Lac Sasseginega, in Quebec, Canada with access to many other protected lakes. This beautiful area in the Quebec, Canada wilderness provides a bounty of walleye, lake trout, and pike fishing along with bear and moose hunting opportunities.

Our main lake is 19 miles long and 7 miles wide with beautiful crystal clear water and over 50 islands providing lots of sheltered areas to fish in rough weather. All portages to other lakes are short and well brushed; boats and motors are located on all lakes.

The fishing at Bush Country Camp is something to experience. The walleye population on the lake is healthy with fish over 24” being caught and released every week. At the camp, we believe in conserving the population, and ask that larger fish only be kept if mounting for a trophy. For the Northern Pike fisherman, the lake offers many back water bays where the big lunkers wait. We also have a neighbouring lake that is only a short portage. Fishing on this lake is almost exclusively Northern Pike. The Lake Trout fishing is steady throughout the year. Bush Country Camp is not a resort, it is an outpost camp for the hunter and fishing lodge for the fisherman.

From early July to late September it is ideal for the family that likes to get away from the crowded beaches and campsites. We look forward to meeting you and hope to make your stay a memorable one.
